Since 1999, the Yew Chung International Summer School has gained a reputation around the world for its unique approach to teaching Mandarin Chinese (Putonghua) through immersion and cultural experience. The programme has been attracting an escalating number of students from Europe, North and South America, Australia, South East Asia and Hong Kong over the years.
This year, students will experience China’s two different personalities and cultures – the “Metropolis” and the “Wilderness” through visiting Beijing and Inner Mongolia. The programme is an integration of formal language lessons and specially designed cultural activities. Field trips and excursions will further enhance students’ interest and open up their heart and minds to the great treasures of China’s modern and ethnic cultures. |
